Fisher House Repairs A-E Services Support, TX, WA, HI

The primary scope of work under this Task Order included the performance of facility condition assessments at six Fisher House locations; four at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Texas, one at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Washington and one at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) Hawaii.  Fisher Houses serve as free, temporary “homes away from home” for families and caregivers of patients receiving care at major military and VA medical centers.

Services included preparation of facility condition assessments and inspection reports for each location, including a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate for each selected Fisher House location. These reports and corresponding cost estimates will be utilized as a working tool for identifying and planning necessary upgrades and maintenance improvements, to be addressed in future design-build renovation projects. Deliverables consisted of phased submittals, with Draft and Final reports submitted.

Based on our teams' evaluation of each Fisher House location, a breakdown of needs was provided for each facility, outlining systems at the end of their useful life, deferred maintenance items needing attention, and any items that do not align with current Fisher House standards. Recommendations were presented in the assessment as “Base Scope” (immediate – 5-year needs) and “Alternate Scope” (5-year and beyond).
