Repair Approach Lighting Electrical Vaults, Fairchild AFB

Water from snowmelt or heavy rains was entering the existing airfield approach lighting electrical vaults installed at Fairchild Airforce Base; the vaults remained flooded throughout most of the year until manually pumped out during maintenance cycles.

INNOVA’s concept design package through site visit, GIS data and site survey provided an option to tightline drain the vaults to existing drainage swales using a series of storm structures and piping allowing the vaults to drain.
